UI design that performs as well as it looks
User Interface (UI) design creates a seamless experience that balances both user and business needs. It enhances usability, and increases retention, by making interactions intuitive and enjoyable.
A consistent, well-crafted interface reinforces your brand values, establishes credibility, and builds user trust from the very first interaction.
When design aligns with purpose, users feel more confident engaging with your product.
We start by researching your brand and understanding how we are going to apply it digitally.
This involves us creating moodboards which represent a visual compilation of uses of colour, typography, structure, images and other visual components. These moodboards are the basis for a full UI design.

UI Design FAQs

UI (User Interface) design is the visual layer: colours, typography, spacing, imagery, and interactive elements. UX defines the structure and flow; UI brings it to life visually. Both work together to create a cohesive experience.
We design across five breakpoints: 1920px, 1366px, 992px, 768px and 375px. This covers large desktop displays through to mobile, so the platform holds up across the devices a real user base will actually be on.
A stylescape is a single cohesive composition of typography, colour, structure and layout, with UX considerations built in. We call it a moodboard because that is the familiar term, but a traditional moodboard is a collage of references and inspiration. A stylescape shows how the elements work together as the start of a real interface, so you can react to a considered visual direction for your site.
Yes. When a business has no existing brand, we run additional discovery to define the value proposition and vision, then produce a separate visual-direction moodboard before any interface design begins. We also work the other way, applying an existing brand accurately or pushing it further for digital, and we are happy to collaborate with whoever created the original brand.
Yes. Our design systems are aligned to the Tailwind CSS framework, with the Figma setup mirroring how the front end is built. A design system gives you consistency across pages and sites, a faster workflow, and easy brand application on a retainer. It also matters as AI tools increasingly build pages from a design system, because a well-structured system keeps that output on-brand.
We design shared components, states and spacing rules once, then apply them everywhere through the design system. For enterprise organisations running a website, a portal and several sub-brand sites, this is what makes the whole estate feel like one coherent organisation.
Yes, and we design them from the start rather than adding them at the end. Purposeful motion (hover states, loading indicators, transitions that confirm an action) helps users understand that the interface is responding to them. Motion that is purely decorative gets removed.
Yes. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA, which is the sensible standard for a commercial website, and we raise accessibility at the moodboard stage so it shapes the design rather than being retrofitted. In our experience the brand almost always still works once it meets AA. AAA is reserved for contexts such as public-sector and government services.
