Drive engagement & conversion

We pride ourselves on creating websites that engage users and drive conversions through intuitive design and optimised performance.

Front-end and back-end developers are pooled per project based on its size and complexity, with the project manager deciding at kickoff which tasks suit which team. Front-end developers own everything a user experiences directly; back-end developers handle integrations, data, and bespoke databases. The two teams work closely together throughout, with a lot of collaboration on shared tasks rather than working in isolation.

Security is built in from the earliest stages: form sanitisation and cross-site scripting protections are standard practice, checked again at peer review. We run Wordfence on every site as standard, typically recommend two-factor authentication to clients, and can set up single sign-on into your existing Microsoft or Google environment where that’s useful.

SEO is part of the process long before development starts. Our SEO team annotates Figma components with schema markup and heading-structure guidance before handover, so developers build with an SEO-first mindset from day one. As the project progresses, SEO reviews each component against an extensive checklist, covering both development and SEO concerns, so everything is in place before the site is even shared with you for review.

Go-live is scheduled at least a week out, with more notice for clients who need it. Our project management team issues a series of milestones, including a content freeze while the site is packaged up for the live environment. On the day, we test everything on the live environment before switching your DNS across, then run a post-go-live checklist built from every issue we’ve encountered on a launch before, so nothing small gets missed.

We solve common development challenges with clean, scalable code and thorough testing, ensuring your website performs smoothly across every browser, device and use case.

100+ Partnerships

Full-stack development

Our Front and Back End Development teams work in unison.

Rigorously tested

Our QA testing is built to catch issues before they reach production.

We create standards-compliant websites that are accessible, functional, and user-friendly.

Everything is rigorously tested for compatibility across major modern browsers.

Final copy and images are integrated into the functioning website, and comprehensive testing is conducted by our Quality Assurance team.

Once the development process is complete, SoBold’s SEO team reviews and crawls the staging site to ensure optimal search engine performance.

Any necessary adjustments are identified to support strong technical performance and effective crawling.

The go-live process can vary depending on your hosting needs. That said, SoBold will work with your IT team to manage a DNS switch-over for the site to be pushed onto its live environment.

Website Development FAQs

Yes, if you already have designs, our design team reviews them against our build standards first, then our developers build directly from the files you provide.

Timelines vary by scope, and this figure is for the build phase only: around four weeks for a simple website, one to two months for most projects, and longer for anything more complex. Design and QA run as separate phases either side of this, so the full project timeline is longer than the build alone.

You manage the site day to day once it’s live. Ongoing development, updates, and support can run through a retainer or on an ad hoc basis, depending on what you need.

We manage every project in ClickUp, starting with research and planning: target audience analysis, competitor analysis, and a review of your brand guidelines and existing sitemap. From there, our designers produce moodboards across two rounds of visual exploration and review, refine the sitemap, and build wireframes with content block mapping, review and amends. Once the UI is signed off, we move into prep for development (PFD), which our developers use to write detailed dev notes before building the site out of pagebuilder blocks made up of reusable components. Every task goes through peer review, then a final QA pass before it’s marked complete.

Front-end and back-end developers are pooled per project based on its size and complexity. Front-end developers own everything a user experiences directly, while back-end developers handle integrations, data, and any bespoke databases the build needs.

Yes. Form sanitisation and XSS protections are checked again at peer review, and every site runs Wordfence with two-factor authentication as standard. Where it’s useful, we also set up single sign-on into your existing Microsoft or Google environment.

Yes, SEO is reviewed before you ever see the site. Our SEO team annotates notes directly on the Figma components pre-handover, and every build goes through a combined development and SEO checklist, including a site-speed run, before launch.

We set a fixed go-live date around a week out, with milestones issued by the project manager and a content freeze in the run-up. The DNS switch-over itself is coordinated directly with your IT team, so the cutover is planned rather than reactive.

Let’s scope your next project.

Whether you’re in financial services, healthcare, energy or another sector, we start every project with a conversation about your requirements. No commitment, just a discussion about your needs.
