SoBold worked closely with Clanwilliam brands, Konnect Net and Healthlink, to redesign and rebuild their websites.

Konnect NET streamlines collaboration between insurance organisations and health providers, ultimately aiming for improved outcomes for both insurers and their customers.
Clanwilliam’s two brands, Healthlink and Konnect NET, underwent significant rebrands with the clear goal of establishing an online presence as industry leaders. Given the close ties between the two businesses, Clanwilliam prioritised rebuilding the Healthlink website first, and then reskin this new platform for Konnect Net.
The brands for both businesses were completed side by side, and the key challenge was to ensure the sites had a unique identity in design, whilst also identifying as part of the same family of Healthlink.

What we did
The two projects were very intertwined throughout.
Once we had established clear, organised user journeys for each of the sites, we started on applying the Healthlink UI, Once the full Healthlink site design was approved, and subsequently built, we reviewed the full block specification, and worked on designing the UI for Konnect Net, incorporating these components, with colour variations relevant to Konnect Net.
In the build stage, we cloned the Healthlink site and initially reordered the components in line with the Konnect Net wireframes.
Once the structure of the site was in place, we updated the styles and CSS in line with the Konnect Net UI.
A strong and powerful brand repositioning
Imagery-wise, the approach for Konnect Net was “in-the-moment” with warm tones, golden-hour light, and unidentifiable crowds.
From a brand perspective the typography was strong, and the primary orange was to carry much of the visual brand equity and should be given as much presence as possible in brand applications.
Though with the website, working closely with the brand designer, we opted to use the orange more sparingly.

A cleaner identity with clear project goals
Konnect NET’s cutting-edge platform makes it easier for insurers to collaborate with health providers. The new website design needed to reflect this ‘cutting-edge’ offering.


Communication was a key driver behind the success of this project. Working with multiple different teams, on different time zones, with different goals.
SoBold’s project managers ensured the projects continued to keep moving concurrently, and both sites were delivered on time.

SoBold is experienced in working with clients globally, across different time zones.
Our design and development work is asynchronous by nature, so geographical location does not slow down progress.
For meetings and workshops, where it was important to discuss to remove any project blockers, we were able to be flexible to accommodate calls outside of the standard UK office hours.

The site had an entirely new sitemap and a comprehensive migration strategy was implemented to ensure search engine visibility was not impacted.
We ensured all legacy URL’s were appropriately redirected and were able to report on the search engine rankings once the new site had gone live.

Beyond the launch
We have been working closely with Clanwilliam since 2018, managing the websites for their brands.
The Konnect Net and Healthlink marketing teams are technically capable, and they have been able to manage and take ownership of the sites post launch.
SoBold work with Konnect Net on more of an adhoc basis, updating the site with new functionality, consulting from an SEO perspective and fixing any bugs that are raised by the Marketing teams.
Konnect Net has also since expanded to both AU and NZ markets, similar to Healthlink, with content differences tailored to each audience.
