SoBold began working with Kapow Primary in their infancy back in 2019 to help redesign and redevelop their existing WordPress membership platform.

The previous Kapow Primary website did not harness the full potential of WordPress and the integration with MemberPress was clunky and in parts, inefficient.
There was a lack of flexibility throughout and Kapow Primary felt restricted using and updating content on it.

Streamlining the content creation experience
With thousands of lessons on the site, and a whole team dedicated to content creation, streamlining the CMS was a key goal of the project.
We developed a custom page editing interface allowing Kapow to move away from needing to use rigid templates, instead developing a series of ‘blocks’ for the team to use.
As a result, the Kapow content team are able to produce new pages in a matter of a minutes making use of any of the predefined ‘blocks’ with no need for technical web knowledge.

A focus on UX & UI to drive conversions
The new website was designed to increase conversion rates to free trials, and turn visitors into paying customers.


Kapow Primary started working with SoBold when they were in only 20 schools in the UK.
A key focus of the new website design was to ensure Kapow could drive more visitors to paying customers.
Kapow now offers teaching resources for specialist subjects and is used in over 7,500 UK primary schools.

Kapow wanted their Wordpress-based website to be more flexible so that they can react to what their customers and prospective customers and analytics are telling us.
SoBold built a site that enabled total flexibility for the Kapow marketing team to add and edit the site moving forward.
In-house scalability was key to enabling rapid growth for Kapow. With SoBold by their side to offer support where needed on more complex features, Kapow was able to internally train their team of content writers to add and scale content.

The new site needed to be integrated with Active Campaign and MemberPress to manage the membership subscriptions.
The site was integrated with Active Campaign via its API, ensuring Kapow Primary’s CRM is kept up to date with any account information changes, upgrades, or downgrades that are made.
SoBold also set up and configured MemberPress to work with their subscription requirements.
