Following the successful rollout of their new websites, we’ve worked closely with Coller Capital to build their presence across search engines. We’ve implemented a wide-ranging strategic-SEO approach that’s already delivered significant improvements to organic performance.
Launch websiteThe challenge
The initial end-to-end project of redesigning Coller Capital’s website was part of a wider push to increase their online footprint.
Coller Capital wanted to improve organic visibility, particularly for non-branded keywords, while resolving technical issues and better capitalising on their industry-leading thought leadership.
Key priorities included cleaning up a damaged backlink profile, improving crawlability, and transforming high-value content formatted as PDFs into indexable web assets.
The results
57% year on year increase in non-branded clicks
42% year on year increase in total organic clicks
CTR year on year improved from 5.7% to 7.3%
Bounce rate year on year dropped from 39% to 31%
28% year on year increase in engaged sessions
Working with SoBold since: 2022
What we did
Following a thorough audit of Coller Capital and it’s current positioning in organic search and among competitors, we structured a roadmap of tasks based on four strategic pillars:
- Technical and crawlability excellence
- Backlink profile and authority repair
- On-page foundations
- Building subject depth and authority

Results
Technical and crawlability excellence
We began by fixing technical issues across the site, like resolving broken links, eliminating redirect chains, properly structuring heading tags, and improving page speed for better crawlability.

Backlink Profile and Authority Repair
We then audited the backlink profile and referring domains pointing to the Coller Capital domain and submitted a disavow file to counter a sudden spike in low-quality backlinks, likely from a spam or black-hat campaign, restoring the integrity of the backlink profile.

On-Page Foundations
We then mapped keywords to each page based on intent, updated metadata accordingly, and optimised core content to align with search intent and helpful content principles.

Building subject depth and authority
One key win was transitioning the Barometer Reports from static PDFs to indexable web pages, starting with the Summer 2024 edition, unlocking new organic opportunities.
To amplify these gains, we completed a sitewide internal linking audit, improving crawl paths and distributing authority across high-value pages.
